I have considerable experience as a clinical supervisor, accumulated throughout my career.

I began my career as a clinical supervisor in 1989, supervising both the group and individual therapy offered by colleagues within the Day Therapy Service that I managed at that time. As I entered into further psychotherapy training I gained considerable experience as a supervisee and supervisor as part of my on-going training. Over the years I have been involved in a variety of training and supervisory settings more recently providing supervision and mentorship to psychotherapists in training from a cross core profession background including medics working toward either their MRCPsych or in their career development toward practicing/training and medical psychotherapists.

I have expanded my provision to include other sectors such as nonprofits, frontline NHS workers, prison service and colleagues working within sexual abuse and domestic violence.

I felt it appropriate to consolidate my experience in completing an integrated (psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, CBT, systemic) postgraduate supervision training at Derby University in 2008.

I find the supervisory experience rewarding, and I am pleased to play a part in the training and development of future psychotherapists.
